Brat fry: The Appleton American Legion Post No. 38 will host a weekly Brat Fry 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays on the grounds of the Appleton American Legion, 3220 W. College Ave., through October. Rain or shine. Large orders call ahead at 920-733-9840.

Salad luncheon: The American Legion Auxiliary in Hortonville will host a salad luncheon 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 15 in the lower level at the Opera House, 312 W. Benefit event: A Night to Remember will begin at 4 p.m. May 17 at Van Abel's of Hollandtown. Special guest is Chris Jacke, former Green Bay Packers kicker. Tickets $50 in advance, $75 at the door. Mad Hatter Tea Party: The Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass will host an Art After Dark Mad Hatter Tea Party 5 to 7 p.m. May 17 at the museum, 165 N. Park Ave. Wear black and white and play Pink Flamingo Croquet on the back lawn. Inside, make free Mad Hatter Tea Party Hats or make a small platter in The Glass Studio ($15). Geranium sale: ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton will host its 34th annual Geranium Sale 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 17. The cash and carry sale will be at the corner of East Glendale Avenue and North Viola Street in Appleton. Items available include geraniums from cuttings, high-quality flowers, greens, and floral pouches. Proceeds benefit the ThedaCare Appleton Volunteers Health Career Scholarship Endowment.

Jam session: Musicians from Northeast Wisconsin will take their turn playing polka and waltz music during the American Legion jam session 6:30-9:30 p.m. May 17 at 3220 W. College Avenue. Food and beverages will be available. Admission is $5 and proceeds go to the post.

Nutman sale: ThedaCare Neenah Volunteer Auxiliary will host the Nutman sale 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 17 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 18 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah by the Java Junction Coffee Shop. Proceeds benefit the TCN Volunteer Auxiliary scholarship fund. 

Seeds for the Future: A fundraiser to benefit the construction of an Interactive Learning Garden at the Kaukauna Public Library will be held May 17. From 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., patrons can purchase a book for the library in honor or memory of a loved one. Starting at 6 p.m. there will be presentations, crafts, bunny petting, a silent auction and a raffle.

Plant sale: Wild Ones Fox Valley will host its annual Native Plant Sale 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 19 at the WILD Center, 2285 Butte des Morts Beach Road, Town of Fox Crossing.

Plant sale: First United Church, 325 E. Franklin St., Appleton will hold its annual plant sale 9 a.m.-6 p.m. May 19 and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. May 20. Proceeds go to the Volunteers in Mission team to support their work.

Garden party: The Neenah Animal Shelter will host a "Garden Party" 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 19 and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 20 at 951 County G, Neenah. Purchase plants (hanging baskets, annuals, perennials and vegetables) and baked goods to benefit the shelter. Raffles will be held during the event. Yoga/zumba event: A fundraiser to support a documentary on a quest to cure Alzheimer's will be 9 a.m.-2 p.m. May 20 at Homestead Meadows Farm, W7560 Spencer Road, Appleton. Preview screenings of documentary will be shown. $25. Information: will.i.b.next@gmail.com

Art fair: Nature’s Images Spring Art Fair will raise funds for 1000 Islands Environmental Center in Kaukauna. The art fair will be 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 20. Artists will sell and showcase their creations. Concessions available for purchase. Many free family activities.

Golf outing: The annual Wisconsin Timber Rattlers Golf Outing will be June 4 at Shamrock Heights Golf Course in New London. The event will benefit the Miracle League of the Fox Valley. Registration is $450 per foursome, who have the opportunity to play with a Timber Rattlers player or coach, based on a first come, first serve RSVP. Individuals may register for $200.
