Spoiler alert! The following contains significant details from Season 2 of Riverdale.

Riverdale wraps its second season Wednesday night, and, wow, it's been a long 22 episodes.

Before the CW's teen thriller even starts Season 3 (it's been renewed), we're still reeling from all of the craziness that occurred this season: From uncovering the true identity of the murderous Black Hood, to seeing Jughead (Cole Sprouse) getting beat to a pulp.

As Riverdale airs its Season 2 finale on May 16, we're taking a look at five of the show's most insane plot points from the past two dozen episodes that will make you say, "Oh yeah, I forgot about that."

That FBI agent who wasn't an FBI agent

Remember when Archie (K.J. Apa) was being followed and questioned by an "FBI agent" building a case against the Lodge family? Didn't think so.

Here's a refresher: The multiple episode arc at the beginning of the season was a setup for viewers to realize that Hermione Lodge (Marisol Nichols) was the true Lodge family mastermind – she's the one who asked an employee to pose as an FBI agent and question Archie's loyalty. However, episodes since then have directly contradicted Hermione's power status with her subdued surprise at much of husband Hiram's (Mark Consuelos) manipulation of the "family business."

When "Bughead" AND "Varchie" briefly broke up

Without the romantic pairings of Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead, and Archie and Veronica (Camila Mendes), Riverdale just wouldn't be the same. So when both couples seemingly broke up on the same night in Episode 8, everything went to hell.

Don't worry, the couples got back together. That is, after Betty did a Serpent striptease for Jughead, who worried about protecting her from his new reptilian gang life. And after Veronica wasn't sure she loved Archie.

The entire Chic storyline

Will the real Charles Cooper please stand up? The episodes surrounding Betty's long-lost (not) brother Chic (Hart Denton) definitely provided an extra dose of drama.

After all, all of this happened: Betty hunted down the man she thought was the son her mother gave up for adoption and invited him to stay in their house, which resulted in him watching her sleep, operating a webcam sex business in the guest bedroom and murdering a drug dealer in the Cooper living room.

In the end, Chic wasn't even Betty's brother. He killed the real Charles Cooper before Betty approached him in the motel.

Cheryl's mom was the town prostitute, might have tried to kill her mother, daughter

We're wondering why more people aren't talking about how one of the wealthiest women in Riverdale turned into a woman of the night to support her family. A lot happened to Penelope Blossom, and then we didn't hear much about her or daughter Cheryl.

Another note: The twin brother of her late husband arrived on the scene, and she seemingly attempted to get rid of both Cheryl and her mother, Nana Blossom. Pray for the Blossom household.

'Riverdale' may be a high school drama based upon a comic book series, but it still provides a satisfying experience for grown up viewers. Time

All the Jingle Jangle plot points

The street drug has been at the center of a bunch of Riverdale twists, from the almost-rape of Cheryl by Veronica's childhood friend, to the Black Hood's reasoning behind shooting of Moose, Midge and Southside High teacher Mr. Phillips, also known as the "Sugarman." Reggie (Charles Melton) sells the drug, the main characters take the drug at a party and Sheriff Keller raids Southside High in a Jingle Jangle crackdown.

All of those serious issues, and the drug name still sounds ridiculous.
