An 'armed and dangerous' Oxford University worker on the run in America with a Black Death expert after allegedly murdering a hair stylist in a luxury Chicago apartment vanished a week ago without telling his boyfriend, MailOnline can reveal today.
Briton Andy Warren, 56, is accused of stabbing to death 26-year-old Trenton H. James Cornell-Duranleau with Northwestern University academic Wyndham Lathem, 42, before fleeing the Illinois city together in a grey 2017 Hyundai sedan.
Police in America and Britain are today trying to piece together how Warren and his alleged accomplice Lathem knew each other and whether they struck up a relationship online before meeting up in Chicago.
Warren was reported missing to UK police on July 25 - two days before the murder - after he disappeared from the council house he shares with his sister Tracey, 39, near Swindon.
Miss Warren and her brother's heartbroken boyfriend Martin Grant, 44, who has been a relationship with the murder suspect since at least 2011, have been desperately looking for him ever since.
A family friend told MailOnline: 'The last thing I knew about Andy was that he had disappeared. Tracey asked if had I seen him and his boyfriend came round the other night and said the same'.
Warren's sister and boyfriend were initially told by police he might be in Spain but he has now turned up in America - a place he had never visited before - where he is now wanted for first-degree murder.
