On the topic of gun control, could someone please offer verbiage for legislation that would stop criminals from committing crimes? I cannot conceive of words on paper doing anything to prevent lawbreakers from breaking laws. Acts of crime and immorality come from the heart and mind of an individual, and its increase and intensity of late seems to be well correlated with driving the Bible and prayer from schools and public places. Perhaps a reversal of course that allows teaching faith principles of behavior and morality in classrooms would begin undoing some of what its absence has wrought.
Children, from infancy through teenager, should get instruction at home. Some do not. Schools can be a safety net for teaching and instilling right behavior. Some may not. If either of these avenues succeeds, students and society profit. If both fail, civil behavior declines. A vote on legislation is not a viable alternative to teaching and discipline.

More guns in the classroom is the only answer
The horrific events of February 14 are still fresh in every mind. However lets lay the blame where it truly belongs, at the feet of the very government that the liberal left believes is our protector.
The FBI admits to their failure in this killing of innocent children and the local LEO agencies in Parkland, Fla. should hang their collective heads as well, due to inaction after over 35 calls concerning this young man in years previous.
I stated that the blame should be laid at the feet of the government, and the reason is so simple. The federal government of the United States has corrupted the second amendment to the point that carrying a firearm for personal protection is either illegal or extremely difficult in most areas. Just ask yourself, "how many lives would have been saved" if only one teacher or administrator would have been legally carrying a firearm at school. If only one life was saved, it would have been worth the effort.
Gun free zones have been the locale of every mass shooting that has taken innocent lives. Gun free zones are the epitome of an oxymoron, they are the scourge of this Nation and the very reason that mass shootings will continue as a rule until every killer knows beyond a doubt that entering these areas to commit atrocities will more than likely result in their own death long before they can kill innocent children. Remember, when seconds matter the police are only minutes away.

Teachers don't need the added stress of guns in their lives
I used to be a teacher. What a joy I had of being able to teach children. Many of the teachers today must have that same joy. We need to let our teachers teach. Teachers don't need to be carrying guns to school. What if a teacher goes off and shoots someone? What if the teacher is a bad shot?
Teachers are trained to teach. Teachers are under enough stress doing all their paperwork, and trying to discipline bad kids. Teaching has become a very high stress job. It is not like it use to be. You want to arm teachers? Then arm them with the authority to paddle, and pay them like professionals should be paid. Let them teach, and put policemen in the schools. We pay them to serve and protect.

Abraham, Scalise are 'Republicrats' committing crimes against our country
Louisiana and the nation elected a Republican president and Republican majorities to the House and Senate, in part to reduce government spending of our money. However, with the recent budget bill that was voted for and signed into law by those who are so generous with our money, the spending limit has increased by $300 billion over two years. Much of this increase is for the military, but there are plenty of ways to let us keep our money by cutting waste elsewhere. One such cut should have been to Planned Parenthood, but our own Congressman Ralph Abraham joined Steve Scalise, Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, President Trump, and other Republicrats in giving the murderers our money.
As long as career politicians such as Ryan and McConnell keep being elected, such crimes against the country will continue. They put up a front to appear conservative, but when it comes down to it they trash the Constitution just like any other Progressive, and drag as many others into the Washington sewer as they can.
