Neal up 2 spots to No. 43
on Builder Magazine list
Neal Communities moved up two spots to the No. 43 position on Builder Magazine’s Builder 100: The 2017 List, an annual list of the best homebuilders in the nation.
Neal Communities increased its ranking from No. 45 last year, with 1,129 closings and close to $415 million in gross revenue in 2016. Sales of Neal Communities’ homes have increased 15 percent since 2015, making Neal Communities one of the most prolific homebuilders in the region.
So far in 2017, the company has sold 414 homes, and to date, Neal has built over 12,000 homes total, with over 70 successful communities throughout Southwest Florida.
Every year since 1984, Builder Magazine has ranked the nation’s top homebuilders, evaluating both privately and publicly held companies through direct surveys and basing its results on the number of home closings.
Neal unveils two new
models at Grand Palm
Neal Communities recently unveiled two new models and six new floor plans at Grand Palm, its master-planned community in Venice.
The communities’ two newest models are Mediterranean-style villas from the builder’s Coastal Series. The larger villa designs range from 1,632 to 1,842 square feet. The Sandcastle features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a two-car garage and a den. Tidewinds offers two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a two-car garage with a den.
Neal Communities also added four new single-family home floor plans from the Celebration Series to its lineup at Grand Palm. The 1,812-square-foot Fresh Spring and 2,014-square-foot Meadow Brook designs are new to the community but have been popular choices at other locations for the builder. The three-bedroom, two-bath homes feature a two-car garage and a multitude of options to further customize the space.
At 2,389 square feet and 2,731 square feet, the Acclaim and the Laurel layouts are completely new floor plans that were designed with the homebuyer’s feedback in mind. The Acclaim features three bedrooms and two bathrooms with a den, while the two-story Laurel floor plan offers four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a loft.
Grand Palm is the largest neighborhood Neal Communities has created in its more than 40 years of building, with plans for a total of 1,999 homes.
For the third consecutive year, Southern Hospitality Home Watch & Home Services of Bradenton has achieved Accredited Member status from the National Home Watch Association.
The NHWA was formed in 2009 to establish and maintain the highest industry standards for Home Watch and absentee homeowner services throughout the United States and Canada. Home watch is a service that keeps an eye on things at your vacation or primary home while you are not in residence.
Jason “Jay” and Jana Hancock, the owners of Southern Hospitality Home Watch & Home Services of Bradenton, have been in business since 2014. Jay Hancock has been a cabinet installer since 1999 and honed his skills in trim carpentry and remodeling homes. He was formerly a maintenance supervisor for a 280-unit apartment community. He also operated a home inspection business. Jana Hancock had a 20-year career in residential property management and was a national instructor for the property management industry after learning every aspect of operations.

Pulte Homes now taking
Pulte Homes is taking reservations for new construction of single-family estate homes at Shoreview at Lakewood Ranch Waterside, the latest village in Lakewood Ranch.
The company plans 246 one- and two-story homes around 144 acres of lakes. Homes ranging from 2,488 square feet to more than 4,500 square feet of living area are priced from the $500,000s to over $1 million.
"Shoreview will offer premier estate homes with the most spectacular long lake views," said Josh Graeve, vice president of sales for Pulte's Southwest Florida division, in a press release. "Our nine distinct Life Tested homes are designed for how you live. The innovative designs feature open gathering areas, flexible living spaces, and personalized design options that enable you to give it your own special touch."
Two model homes that broke ground in April will open July 1, when sales will begin.

left in Wildgrass
Only three home sites and two models remain available at Wildgrass, the Sarasota community by Neal Signature Homes.
The gated neighborhood will contain 47 larger home sites, some nearly half an acre, among 36 acres of Florida’s natural landscape.
The three home sites allow home buyers to choose a floor plan and personalize its design. Two feature homes, the Costa Mesa and the Carmel, are underway for buyers who need a faster move-in date. The Costa Mesa, the largest plan and the onsite decorated model, features four bedrooms and four bathrooms with a den with a bonus or theatre room. The Carmel showcases 2,698 square feet of open space with an oversized great room plus three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a pool and a three-car garage.
Wildgrass is located off Clark Road three miles east of Interstate 75.
The builder is hosting a closeout cookout event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 24 at the community.
