Library Books Released - Top news: TITLE

The Joplin Public Library celebrates the release of a new movie, focusing on choosing kindness in our own lives.

The movie "Wonder" is based on a best selling fictional novel written by R.J. Palacio. It's about a boy with severe facial abnormalities. A display on the movie and book is up inside the children's section of the Joplin Public Library. Children's librarian Tammie Benham is a big fan of the book and believes it has a great message about acceptance and overcoming adversity.

Tammie Benham, Children's Librarian: "We do offer the novel at the library, and we do have a couple of copies. We also have some of the sequels that go along with the book, there's a book of precepts, there's a story book and there is a sequel to the novel, so we do offer those at the public library."

The Wonder Choose Kind event at the library also had activities for kids including card making and random act of kindness ideas., set News, Photos, Profile, Video, Artist & Celebrity World complete.
