How The Justice League Reshoots May Have Changed The Movie's Ending - Top news: TITLE

Warning: This article contains potential spoilers for Justice League.

Since Joss Whedon took the helm of Justice League, there's been speculation about how much the Avengers director will change the film from Zack Snyder's original vision.

The answer might be even more than we expected, as rumours are flying that Whedon has altered the ending of the DC Extended Universe instalment.

"From what I've heard is happening, Joss Whedon has been brought in to make it lighter, as has been reported, but he's also redoing the ending of the movie," Peter Sciretta, the editor of /Film, said after speaking to reported inside sources at DC.

He explained: "The original ending of the movie, from what I understand, was [Stepphenwolf] was kind of playing the Silver Surfer role, with Darkseid playing the Galactus role, and the ending of the movie was a cliffhanger and Justice League 2 was going to be Justice League vs Darkseid. Ya know, Darkseid arrives at Earth."

So this original ending has reportedly been removed by Whedon, who will be getting a confirmed director's credit for Justice League. Darkseid is also reportedly going, leaving the major character set to make his DCEU appearance further down the line.

"This kind of down, dirty ending, and from what I understand that has been completely removed. The ending ends the movie like a movie, it doesn't end on a huge cliffhanger now," Sciretta said.
