Kai Forbath missed a field goal at the end of the first half — wide left, of course — that looked like it might prove to be the final losing margin. Blair Walsh and Gary Anderson can sympathize.
Case Keenum threw a pass across his body and late in a playoff game against the Saints — just like Brett Favre did eight years ago. He lived to tell, but the costly interception would come later.
And finally, while there was nothing controversial about Stefon Diggs' miraculous game-winning touchdown, the manner in which the Vikings shockingly pulled out a game that they seemed destined to lose was reminiscent of the Drew Pearson "Hail Mary" that knocked the Vikings from the playoffs in 1975.
This wasn't the Super Bowl, or even the game to get to the Super Bowl. But it sure felt cathartic.
